Registered Dietitian Purpose: This position will primarily support the Agency’s Healthy Soul Food for Diabetics Program   The Work: Instructs individuals and families participating in the Soul Food Cooking for Diabetics Program at community and faith-based sites in the areas of nutritional principles, diet, food selection, and economics and adapts teaching to individual life styles to ensure cultural appropriateness. Provides information concerning the importance of healthy eating practices to and works with community groups. Consults with Agency staff to communicate materials and supplies needed for community group training sessions Review dietary-related program proposals for funding. Licensed Chef Purpose:  This position will primarily support the Agency’s Healthy Soul Food for Diabetics Program   The Work: Read and become familiar with recipes included in Soul Food cookbooks Shop for and prepare sample foods included in Soul Food cookbooks Instruct individuals and families participating in the Soul Food Cooking for Diabetics Program at community and faith-based sites in the area of preparation, shopping on a limited budget and other important tips. Direct Volunteers who will assist with distributing food samples during sessions. Bookkeeper Purpose This position will be responsible for tracking expenditures against grant deliverables.  In addition, the Bookkeeper will prepare monthly income and expense reports to be shared with Agency leadership and will work with the CPA who conducts annual audits of the Agency’s financial activity.
